All physicians at Cardiology Consultants are Board Eligible or Board Certified Cardiologists. Many have sub-specialties in various aspects of cardiology such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation, angioplasty and electrophysiology. This ensures you the most specialized care possible.

Your cardiologist is responsible for your individual care and will always see you during office visits. However, sometimes it is important for a patient to see more than one cardiologist, depending on the type of specialized treatment you may require. In that case, another cardiologist in our group may treat your specific problem with their particular expertise. You benefit from the care of all of our cardiologists. They work together as a team, and share their opinions and expertise about your care with one another.

Like your family doctor, your cardiologist can't be on call 24 hours every day. Therefore, we rotate coverage in the hospitals during the evenings and weekends. We will also contact your family physician throughout the course of your treatment.

You'll meet our experienced staff of cardiac nurses, important members of your cardiac care team. They'll help explain diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, answer your questions, and put you at ease. The nurses also present "Healthy Heart" seminars, where you and your family can learn about cardiac risk factors and the nutritional management of heart disease.

A nurse will visit you before you leave the hospital to review your medications, discuss activities, explain your follow-up care and give you a personalized packet of information to take home with you. Our nurses are available to answer any concerns.
